So, fun fact, I’m not irritated anymore. I’m just flushed and bothered now.
I haven’t figured out which I like least yet. Probably the feeling that isn’t so closely related to anger and closer to feelings of happy.
We don’t like that. “Happy” is not an option in our Mood Settings.

Watching his magnificent form and follow through until I’m not irritated anymore.
Let’s just rewind this day back to around 9 this morning when we made eye contact and smiled and laughed and you tried to talk about Wonder Woman like you knew something about comics and comic book movies. It was cute.
We had magic, in that moment.
At least in my mind we did.
We’ve had a lot of things in my mind.
Actually, my mind is a filthy place to be.
My mind should totally replace reality is all I’m saying.
I can’t believe almost my entire day was eaten up by talking about a franchise I don’t give two dicks about.
Look at this monster I’ve become.
Nbr. 39 - oh, hey! I had one more “also, you know what is sad” to give you!
Also also, it’s super pathetically sad that I still think I can be an artist when I grow up. Didn’t I burn all my art in a fire after seeing that Kevin Wada Scarlet Witch redesign? What the shit am I doing?
It’s also really sad that all anyone can come up with as a response to Gal Gadot being cast as Wonder Woman is, “Her tits aren’t big enough”.
Pretty much sums everything up.
YES. THIS. Like… love it or hate it, is there another reason besides “her tits aren’t big enough” or “her tits are too big?”. Anything?
Personally, I’m wary about this movie ANYWAYS but now I’m moreso. My problem isn’t that Gal Gadot is a model-type. Wonder Woman has to be beautiful, she’s fucking Wonder Woman. But I don’t see them bulking her up enough to play an Amazon. She’s very tiny as is, and they’d need to really pack some weight/muscle on her frame to make her look as strong as Wonder Woman should look. They make Batman and Superman bulk up, will they make her? I sort of doubt it. But, even if they DID - do her acting credentials really stack up here? Because her IMDB page leads me to believe that they cast her more for her lovely face than for her ability to play DC’s demi-goddess strongwoman. I guess we’ll see. It’s a DC movie, I’ll be there opening weekend regardless of what I think. I can only hope that someone knows what they are doing (even if I really think it’s not very likely).
Here’s the thing: from the outside, it looks like they hired a Victoria’s Secret model to portray an iconic fictional hero in a movie that will be directed by a guy who claims Sucker Punch is a movie about female empowerment. To me, because I’m not pretending to be speaking for everyone, that feels like they are intentionally setting Wonder Woman up to fail so they have their example of why a female led action/superhero movie (or ANYTHING female led that isn’t “chick flick” material and god I hate that term) won’t work. It smacks of stacking the deck against her and the fans that want to see her in her own movie.
The truth is that we don’t know what went on in the audition. Gadot could have totally brought that thing about WW that draws so many people to her that we aren’t seeing in these pictures of her on the internet or in The Fast and The Furious movies. I can’t even remember if she had lines in those movies? I couldn’t even remember she was in those movies.
Like you, I have serious doubts about them “bulking” her up. I mean, seriously. When was the last time that happened in a movie because I can’t think of anything more recent than Linda Hamilton in Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Zoe Saldana didn’t “bulk up” for that god awful movie Colombiana (which is an excellent example of expecting an audience to suspend disbelief for a waif just bulldozing every obstacle in her way and why most audiences can’t/don’t buy that). We have to believe that if any number of the male villains they might have in this movie punch her, that she will not be moved by it and will literally destroy said villain without breaking a sweat. Or that she can take a beating and get back up from it.
Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at things, it’s just the “wait and see” game and hoping that the people in charge aren’t planning to continually make you pay for them to shit in your hand like Bryan Singer has been doing with The X-Men franchise for me.
Not that I’m still/continually/eternally bitter about that or anything.
